BASICS doctors respond to desperate cases

Dr Howard Simpson was called to a man who’d been stabbed in Basingstoke in the early hours of August 18th.  Despite his efforts and those of the paramedics, including a thoracotomy – the man died.  It’s now the subject of a murder inquiry.

Earlier in the month – and cross-border in Godalming, Surrey, another BASICS doctor responded to a collision where a member of the public had life-changing injuries.  Dr Simon Brown was first doctor on scene.  Another police investigation.
