Blacknest Golf Club raise thousands over a year

Damon Pritchard – men’s club captain last year for this highly successful club near Alton – picked on BASICS Hampshire as his chosen charity after watching them on BBC’s Real Rescues and hearing people who’d been critically ill or injured speaking about the doctors’ contributions to their survival and recovery.

“I was amazed to find it was all funded by a charity – and staffed by volunteers,” says Damon, “I was stunned to learn the NHS only provide pre hospital critical care in London .

Blacknest Golf Club men’s club rose to Damon’s ┬áchallenge – raising nearly 3500 pounds over the year, with more to come from collecting tins.
