Over 280 Harley Davidsons from all over the country rode down the esplanade in Weymouth at the end of September – a ride organised and led by the New Forest HOG chapter. Besides a great weekend – and joined by Morgan drivers with their splendid cars – it was part of a fund-raising effort for the NF HOGs two chosen charities: BASICS Hampshire and SERV aka the Wessex Blood Runners. The link is clear: both charities have volunteers on bikes – and both help save lives.
Superb day. The charity displays attracted loads of visitors who were otherwise just there to admire the magnificent bikes and cars. The new BASICS pop up tent didn’t need its sides though volunteer Jay Andrews (seen left with a real life HOG) appreciated kind bikers helping her put it up and take it down.
