Medical and nursing students raise thousands for BASICS Hampshire


BASICS Hampshire doctors turned up yesterday evening to recieve a cheque for well over two thousand pounds from Southampton students.  Friends of BASICS Hampshire – started by med students at Southampton last year – laid on another huge evening where emergency doctors, nurses and paramedics spoke about life and death for patients before they reached hospital.   Among the key speakers, former champion cyclist Pete Sneddon – who spoke movingly about being a recipient of the chain of pre-hospital and hospital care.
