Luke Morrison sailed round the Isle of Wight for us in a Laser dinghy and raised many thousands (still checking on total) … Sandra Honey sponsored her own slim, lost three stone and raised £251.90 (well done Sandra!); Faith Raven raised a thousand from the show in Southsea … the Bowtie Club at Leigh Park Working Man’s Club raised £1700 … matched by the Gold Wings from their great events …. John Harris raised £100 from repairs in his model shop (and sold raffle tickets) … Fareham Flower Club raised £1,125 … thank you to Mrs Gray from Wickham who gave Dr Dunbar £500 … Samuel’s Rest gave us £150. Christine Shields and her supporters at the Overton Sheep Fair raised hundreds and might give us another go in four years time! Shane Woolmore raised over £3000 with his brilliant organisation of the second BASICS Hampshire Halloween night in Southampton – despite being in hospital in the run up and afterwards. Supporting us throughout the year have been the Griffin family (step forward Sue, Jordon and Richard) – who organised a brilliant fundraising weekend at The Fareham and gave us over £1000 and have continued to support every effort from Halloween to Christmas cards. Kim Price and her family have helped kickstart fundraising in west Hampshire with raffle ticket sales, organising a Christmas late night shopping table (raising £180) and involving Penny Alvis who managed a terrific £110 from a coffee morning. Many thanks to Loaders, Fordingbridge who keep contributing, and Dan Walters. Chris West and his family have been great supporters throughout the years since Chris’s accident. Mary Macey has kindly contributed Christmas card money to us for a second year. And thank you, too, to Nicola Dancer and her nursing colleagues at Salisbury (Odstock).
